The EdTech Show - AI Integration That Works
I explored TheEdTechShow a YouTube channel focused on practical AI integration and other great tips for using digital tools in education. What stood out right away was the host’s approachable way of breaking down complex technology topics into clear, teacher-friendly language. Instead of hyping AI, he focuses on how teachers can use it ethically and efficiently to improve learning experiences.
In one episode Teach Students How To Use AI (ChatGPT, Bard, Bing Chat & More) AI In Education Tutorial For Teachers, he demoed real classroom applications for ChatGPT and Bard. What I learned was not just which tools to use, but how to use them meaningfully. For example, using AI to generate better reading passages or create lesson outlines, not full lesson plans.
My key takeaway was his perspective: Use AI to amplify your teaching, not automate it. This helps reframe AI as a collaborator, not a replacement.
In my own practice, I can see using some of these AI tools to streamline prep time and focus more on creative lesson design and student interaction. I also appreciate the emphasis on transparency. Letting students know when and how AI is being used supports digital citizenship and responsible innovation.
I plan on revisiting this channel a lot in the future because I saw so many tips for using Google tools well in education.
